A heartwarming video shows Paul Rudd handing out cookies to voters in downtown Brooklyn, thanking them for getting out and hitting the polls.

Paul Rudd was captured in a heartwarming video today hitting the streets of Brooklyn and handing out cookies to voters. Rudd has been acting for nearly 30 years, landing supporting roles in some of the biggest comedy hits of the 2000s, including AnchormanThe 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Knocked Up. Lately, he’s been known to audiences around the world for playing Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s also known for his quirky, cheerful personality off-screen, whether it’s participating in fun interviews like his Hot Ones episode or hosting star-studded charity events like The Big Slick to raise money for Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital.

His signature charm was on full display Thursday when Rudd was spotted handing out cookies to voters in rainy downtown Brooklyn. Brian Rosenworcel, the drummer for the alt-rock band Guster, posted the video on Twitter showing Rudd happily engaging with the line of voters and thanking them for coming out and doing their part despite the inclement weather. Paul Rudd‘s cookie giveaway marks the latest example of actors using their platforms to encourage people to go out and vote. Rudd, along with several of his fellow Avengers actors, recently held a fundraiser via Zoom where they interviewed Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris. In an interview earlier this month, Taylor Swift announced she would be voting for Joe Biden and Harris. There’s no denying the influence celebrities wield during election seasons; in fact, with their hundreds of millions of followers, some mega-celebrities like Swift can have a much larger reach than politicians. Fans and voters alike will just have to wait and see how it all shakes out on November 3.
