Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ Phase 4 show WandaVision adds Orange Is The New Black star Jolene Purdy in an unknown but recurring role.

The cast of WandaVision continues to grow as Orange Is The New Black‘s Jolene Purdy will play a recurring character. The Disney+ series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision is rapidly approaching. WandaVision was originally scheduled to debut in 2021 but it has since been moved up to 2020. Although no firm release date has been set, the series recently was able to complete filming.

Marvel Studios has so far only revealed a few pieces of information about the first Marvel Cinematic Universe TV show to debut on Disney+. A teaser trailer arrived not too long ago that showcased WandaVision‘s unique story, but it largely left fans with more questions than answers. In addition to showing Scarlet Witch and Vision’s new (fake) lives, it also included the first look at Kathryn Hahn’s nosy neighbor character Agnes and grown-up Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). Other cast members were featured too, but not the latest addition.

Purdy is the latest addition to WandaVision‘s growing cast list. The Disney+ series will also bring back Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo. While both of their roles are familiar for MCU fans, WandaVision will introduce plenty of new faces. The trailer revealed the additions of Fred Melamed and Debra Jo Rupp as Mr. and Mrs. Heart. It also set up the inclusion of Wanda Maximoff’s super-twins Wiccan and Speed, but no actors have been revealed for those parts. There have even been rumors that Evan Peters has a role.

With so few details about WandaVision‘s actual story made public and the lack of information on Purdy’s role, she could show up anywhere in the series. She could be another one of Wanda and Vision’s neighbors or even someone working for SWORD. There really is no way to know at this moment, but fans of Purdy’s will still undoubtedly be excited to see her join the MCU with WandaVision in the near future.
