Sophie Turner will be joining the cast of the HBO Max animated series The Prince. Turner is best known for her roles as Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, and as Sansa Stark from the wildly popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Turner is well known for her magnetic charisma and inherent charm, gracefully guiding Sansa from one of the show’s less popular characters into an unquestionable leader and fan favorite.
It was announced (via Deadline) that Turner will be joining the upcoming HBO Max animated series The Prince. Turner will provide the voice of Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Kate Middleton and Prince William.
Janetti himself will star in the series as Prince George, with Orlando Bloom taking the role of Prince Harry. Lucy Punch also stars as Kate Middleton, along with Alan Cumming as Owen the butler, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth, and Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle. Turner’s former Game of Thrones co-star Iwan Rheon (Ramsey Bolton) will portray Prince William.
The series is set to be a comedic satire about British Royals, inspired by the Instagram posts of Gary Janetti, who created and will also executive produce the show. The series will take place from the perspective of Prince George, who is Middleton and Prince William’s oldest child. Hopefully, Turner and Rheon’s characters will have a much more harmonious relationship in The Prince than the characters they played on Game of Thrones.
