Before the premiere of the new Bravo series The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, get to know Jen Shah’s football-loving husband, Sharrieff.
The new Bravo series The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres tonight, November 11. Fans already have a list of the cast of new women, which includes businesswoman Jen Shah.
When the promo dropped for RHOSLC, fans got to meet Shah’s castmates, including Mary Cosby, who revealed she married her grandmother’s ex-husband. In comparison, Shah’s life sounds fairly normal. Shah owns three marketing companies and converted from Mormonism to Islam. Of course, families are also a big part of the Real Housewives shows and often become crucial to the plotlines. Although we’re not yet sure what role he’ll play on the series, fans are excited to meet Shah’s husband, Sharrieff.
According to TV Show Ace, Shah and Sharrieff have been part of the community of Salt Lake City for many years now. In fact, Sharrieff even attended the University of Utah when he was younger. Now, Sharrieff is in his ninth season coaching the cornerbacks for the football team at the university he once studied at. Not only that, but he also serves as a special teams coordinator after three years as co-coordinator. In 2014, ESPN called Sharrieff one of “10 coaches who adapt and thrive” when he is coaching his team. Sharrieff has helped 5 cornerbacks make it into the NFL. He has done a lot for his football team at the University of Utah, and it seems he is well-appreciated. Sharrief and Shah’s son is now a football player for the Utes as well. Take a look at the whole family in the Instagram post below:
Unlike his wife, Sharrieff did not grow up in Salt Lake City, but hails from Los Angeles, California. After he graduated from the university, he went on to become a successful attorney while also working as a radio host for ESPN. Sharrieff spent 12 years as a practicing attorney, first as a commercial litigator with Parsons, Behle & Latimer from 2001-2006, and then as a trial attorney with Siegfried & Jensen from 2006-2011. His specialty was in medical malpractice and bad car accidents at Siegfried & Jensen, the biggest personal injury firm in Utah. Sharrieff stayed attached to the game of football as a certified agent through the NFL Player Association (NFLPA) from 1996-2002. Law wasn’t Sharrieff’s passion, so he left his job as an attorney and decided to be a coach full-time.
Sharrieff seems like a great man who has a passion for football and created an amazing career from that. He and Shah will be an interesting couple to watch when RHOSLC airs tonight.
