Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has an exciting main story, but there’s more for Eivor to explore and do after they have completed their adventure.

After fighting Anglo Saxons, fellow Vikings, and a few beings from Norse mythology, the story concludes. However, there is more to do in this historic world.

Return to Norway

  • While Eivor began their adventure in Norway, there are new quests to complete once the story has been finished. Return there to begin a new quest with Sigurd, the protagonist’s brother. This story arc has a few surprise twists that wrap up some of the plot points in the main story, as well as tie this installment together with the rest of the Assassin’s Creed universe.

Discover All of the Mythic Weapons and Artifacts

  • The Gods and Goddesses of the Norse pantheon are central figures in Valhalla, with several of them being boss fights. After beating the game, players can find and wield, a handful of their powerful weapons that have now appeared in the world. These mythic armaments can be found hidden away in cryptic locations or after completing new quests. This will give adventurers a good incentive to explore every last nook and cranny in Valhalla’s world so that they too can use weapons like Odin’s Spear and Mjölnir in combat.

Find all of the Animus Anomalies

  • Scattered about Valhalla’s open-world are strange blue blocks called animus anomalies. These out of place glitches reveal a short platforming segment for players to parkour across. Reaching the end reveals more lore about the series and counts toward the game’s completion.

Earn every Achievement

  • This game has a whole host of achievements to complete, like increasing the level of Eivor’s settlement or uncovering the previously mentioned legendary weapons. Acquiring all of them proves one’s mastery of the game!

Create an Online Mercenary

  • Though Assassin’s Creed Valhalla doesn’t have direct online like past installments, it does have a mercenary system. Players can create a Jomsviking by outfitting them with armor and gear and then share it online so their friends can use them as allies in raids. Likewise, players can recruit the Jomsvikings of other people for their own raids.

Sightseeing

  • Many of the locations Ubisoft made for this world are based on locations from real life! Send Eivor on a trip around their realm and try finding all of the real-world locations. Take photos of Eivor standing in the shot, and try to collect them all! Think of it like the “Captured Memories” side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where Link must find the locations of all the photos in his camera.
