The Sepulcher is a unique Dane Axe weapon with a gold trim and a fiery edge. Here’s how players can find it and burn their enemies to a crisp.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has taken a step in a different direction when it comes to weapons and just how frequently they appear. In Odyssey and Origins, players had so many weapons, it was almost impossible to scroll through them all when finding something to equip. Now, weapons no longer appear very often and in fact, the game depends more on an upgrade system rather disposing of weapons once a better one has been found.
Weapons also carry various effects and in the case of the Sepulcher, it has the potential to ignite enemies on fire with its edge. It is a two-handed weapon but further down the red skill trees, it can become one of two weapons wielded at the same time. The Sepulcher’s flames activate upon landing a critical hit, so try to find upgrades that increase critical hit chances as much as possible to get the most out of this weapon. Here’s how players can find it.
1 How to Find the Sepulcher in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
This weapon is actually pretty early in-game when it comes to how much content Assassin’s Creed has to offer. A little bit after players have settled into Ravensthorpe, Randvi will have a map set up in the longhouse showing potential locations to go and find allies. There are two options, to go North and accompany Sigurd in meeting the sons of Ragnar, or to go south and recruit the summer army lead by Soma. Going North is the way to go in order to unlock the later quest that leads players to the location of the Sepulcher. Of course with this information, players can go straight there and procure the weapon before making any choices, but this could have some unknown effects on the storyline.
Players should have unlocked the quest “Tilting the Balance” which sends Eivor in search of King Burgred’s actual location. Go to Offchurch, located west southwest of Ravensthorpe, at the cross between Arwy and Alne River. Do the thing, by killing all the guards, descending the crypt to the lowest level where the King is hiding in wait. There are a few other treasures down there so make sure to abuse Eivor’s special vision to locate them. After defeating him, tie him up and loot the chest nearby. Once opened, the Sepulcher will appear on screen and players will have obtained the weapon.
